okay, typical day; wake up, go downstairs, turn on laptop, check twitter, send meaningless tweets to no one, search for jobs online (find nothing), find something to eat for brunch (because there's only 2 meals a day), think about going out to do something/anything constructive, get asked to stay in and watch a baby, spend hours being screamed at by said baby, still on laptop- nothing to do/check, look for something vaguely intellectual- find something- understand nothing, get frustrated, find something inane and brainless, laugh, feel stupid, dinnertime, more watching babies whilst brother watches the same thing each day- simpsons-friends-simpsons-simpsons, brother goes to bed- babies are in bed- too late to do anything apart from sit down with laptop and/or tv, still checking twitter, occasionally get a link to something political, read linked content, understand nothing, get frustrated, watch tv, read new twitter link, political again, get frustrated, 10 o'clock, only one awake, still online/watching tv, bored out of mind, 12 o'clock, same position, 1 o'clock, people are starting to be interesting online- need to do dishes, do dishes, go upstairs with laptop, continue checking online news, go to sleep, wake in the morning and repeat.
Anyone who thinks not having to go to work is fun? do it for more than 2 weeks- I guarantee it gets old real fast. In order to get past this boredom and frustration I must laugh about the issues. Turn to the Flight of the Concords.
